I will buy it. Just because I want more skills, there is only ONE request I have for Anet . Please Do not release a Beta version of the game! Yes it will be fix later on and all but stuff like skills not working properly and bad lags kill the game.

Similiarly, if you are so besotted with guild wars, that you will buy the next chapter even if it only contained 1 new area and nothing else, will a hundred people saying they won't buy, change your mind? Again obviously not.
You have your reasons for buying/not buying, same as everyone else but i am pretty sure whether or not you will/will not buy the next chapter has already been decided to some extent and a bunch of people saying buying, not buying isn't going to change anything.

Then why even respond? (or is trolling a passtime?) LOL

How is his post trolling? He gave his opinion without flaming anyone in a clear explaination. At least it wasnt a one liner like some people's responses. His post is far more valid than say a post that says "No I won't get GW. It sucks" That to me is a useless post and I've seen quite a few in this thread.
I'm tired of people accusing others of trolling just because they disagreed with them.

I think the point the one in bold is somewhat new and not been discussed much before which to some extent i agree with.

If the Realm of Torment and Domain of Anguish are an indication of where this franchise is going, then no. I'm sure Anet put a lot of time and effort into these areas, but sadly not enough to actually make it enjoyable. Frustrating area effects and areas that encourage playing gimmick builds or not at all is not my idea of fun. Ironically this drove me to play more pvp, which also has me rather disgruntled over this game at the moment.

Most likely no. Unless there are some REAL improvments, and changes, then no. I really am not interested in more content, I have lots of content to play through now with three chapters and eight characters, what I am looking for is some real improvements and new aspects of the game. Heros were great, but next chapters is gonna have to have something more innovative and game-changing than that, otherwise I'm content to just go back and start doing all the quests I've skipped and unlock all the primary proffession skills for all my characters ect...
Once that is done, perhaps I'd buy another chapter, but if "new content" is their only selling premise, then no.

I'm buying the new chapter.
Getting your game to expand with a new continent every six months is the same price as paying the P2P fees on WoW or most other MMORPGs.
If you don't like heroes, don't use them. If you can't find people to party with, you can easily make a few friends, join a guild.
Besides, GW is alot better, more action-packed, and more multi-player based than many other games out there, so I'll support it fully.
If you're sick of the game, don't rant about it. This game is updated very frequently, it's perfect. Everyone is just demanding too much from a game, that's what's making it less enjoyable.

yes i'll definatly be buying the next expansion. so what if solo builds get nerfed... we've always found new one's and as more skills become avaible we will continue to do so. sure hero's can be idiots at times with sacraficing skills but you should have thought about that before equiping them.

i wish math were a requirement in todays school systems.
WOW
15 dollars per month times 12 months equals 180 dollars (US)
GW 2 chapters 12 months.
50 dollars chapter one plus 50 dollars for chapter two equals 100 dollars (US)
why bless my soul that is 80 dollats more for WOW which is almost (80 %) twice as much.
i guess your figures were close enough for government work <snicker>

Unless it's the bomb-diggity game of the century, I will not be buying it. I'm really (to try to do it without flaming) more than a bit fed up with the company (for my own reasons and experiences) and do not see myself paying for Alex Weekes' subway in the near future.

I am a hardcore guild wars addict and never thought id say this about a future guild wars expansion but I honestly don't know if i would buy it the way im feeling at the moment. Aside from playing through the main storyline which I find fun and entertaining, ANET has taken away everything else that made me keep playing. Namely 55/135 etc farming (which can still be done in limited areas granted but it's just not the same) and chest running. These two things were pretty much what I did once I'd played through the storyline a few times. Chest running was my social activity with my guild and other random chest runners you'd meet up with, and farming was what i did when there was noone around to chest run. At first my guild was solely a chest running group, we recruited far and wide since but i've noticed that the old guys who were on every day chest running etc are the ones who aren't on very much these days. It's funny how such a small change can make such a big negative impact on some of us.
I'm on my 3rd char through the nightfall storyline and I'm just not that into it now. There's not a lot else to do that I personally find entertaining. Green farming was fun for a while, made a ton of gold but even that's old now. Domain of anguish is good to have but it's more of a challenge activity, something more likely to frustrate than entertain.
Perhaps i'm in a very small minority that feels this way but imo the things that made guild wars fun once you'd played through the main story of a chapter and were waiting for the next one, just aren't there now. So I find myself logging on less and less.

With that response, who's the troll here?
If you want to prove me wrong that this thread is silly, go on, grab anyone who posted enthusiastically that they will buy the next chapter and convince them not to, likewise, grab anyone who posted in disgust, "No, it sucks" and convince them to buy. I highly doubt you will change any of their minds. The only purpose this thread has is for those on the fence, but without even an actual chapter 4 out to examine and criticise, what's the point of saying buying/not buying?

I think the thread's actual purpose (and thinly disguised ) was just for those who are unhappy with the game to once again rant about how unhappy they are. It's a pointless thread but I guess that's what forums are for. A lot of pointless "discussions"

Probably not. GW's whole business model depends on releasing new chapters every 6 months ie, 1 year to build a new continent, create new missions, quests, environments, armours,.. ie more of the same. After looking at Nightfall I'm inclined to think they don't have the resources to make major additions or improvements to the game e.g trade improvements, storage, lfg system, after creating the base content for the next chapter. It'll be more quantity to heap onto the casual player, rather than enhancing what's there already to make the game itself more fun to play.
The next chapter may not have 60 missions and 500 quests but it'll sure feel like it.
